Chucktown

Thanks to Olga Quinn

Living in Charleston is truly a dream. I wake up every morning to cool, beachy breezes, and walk to work on cobblestone streets. The temperature never gets above 80 in the summertime, and the coldest day we had last winter was 40 degrees. Just the perfect temp for a Patagonia and leather boots. When we moved here, I thought it was only temporary. Drew and I spent a week researching the best pizza places (obviously the “research” for this was delicious), the differences between DIRECTV Or Dish Network, and the quaintest little coffee shops. Turns out, I think I’m here to stay. Drew has gotten into law school, I’m teaching at a middle school in Mt. Pleasant which I love, and we’ve gotten pretty comfortable. We’ve made some incredible friends who appreciate the simple, slow life here. We walk to the Corner Bakery for the world’s best coffee on Sundays, grab a pesto Pizza from Louie’s on the way home, and curl up on our dilapidated sofa to watch Entourage on our way-too-small TV. Life sure is sweet.
